The Lawstreet Capital Scholarship Award (discontinued)

Lawstreet Capital is the proud sponsor of a new scholarship to help single mothers in their quest to complete their college and graduate level education. Our goal is to provide an alternative source of funding to these students whose personal challenges of single motherhood have never hindered their hopes of completing school and earning their degree.

Please carefully consider the eligibility requirements set forth below.

Who is Eligible?

To become eligible for this opportunity, all candidates must be single mothers and accepted to or enrolled in any of the following programs:

  • a 4- year, US college program
  • a junior college program with plans to complete a 4-year degree
  • Graduate school

High school students with plans to attend college are also welcome to apply for this scholarship.

All applicants must provide a copy of their most recent school transcript reflecting a 3.0 minimum GPA.

Scholarship Award: $500

One student will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500 to be applied toward school related expenses.

Please be informed that the scholarship is closed for now and WILL NOT be accepting new applications going forward.

Application Process

Applicants are to write a 1,000 word personal statement that includes answers to the following questions:

  1. Describe the challenges that single motherhood brings to bear on your education; and how have those challenges made you a better student?
  2. How has each role prepared you for the future?
  3. What are you studying in school and what are your professional goals?

Winners

A winners will be chosen within 30 business days of the submission deadline.

By submitting an essay, applicants agree to allow Lawstreet Capital to contact them by phone and/or email and to contact the school for verification of academic status. Lawstreet Capital also reserves the right to post all top contenders’ essays and any photos submitted on the company’s affiliated websites and social media platforms.
